I have a weakness for the color red. Red is my most favorite color. So, whenever I can, I tend to overdo on red. Today I am wearing a red pinstripe on dark blue, 3-button, notch-lapel suit; a red/white Bengal stripe shirt with French cuffs; a silk knit tie in blue/red horizontal stripes; a red silk pocket square; a pair of reddish-brown, double-monk shoes; and a 1960 vintage Favre-Leuba, Geneve, Duomatic (automatic) stainless steel date watch with a blue dial.
Today I am wearing a blue pinstripe over dark blue, three-button, notch-lapel suit; a blue on blue micro-check shirt with tabbed collar and French cuffs; a blue silk tie with small white polka dots; a blue silk pocket square; a pair of black half-brogue oxford shoes; and a 1950 vintage West End Watch Company, Sowar, Prima, manual winding military watch, with black dial and white hour, minute, and second hand. Notice that the watch is rather small (31mm, without crown), characteristic of watches from 30-50s.
Today again is a Thursday and like other Thursday’s today I am wearing a blazer/trousers combination. The hunter green blazer is single-button, peaked lapel and with metal buttons. The trousers are brown and the shirt is also brown/white Bengal Stripe. The shirt has barrel cuff. The shoes are brown monk-straps. I am wearing a maroon silk tie with woven white paisley patterns. I am also wearing a maroon silk pocket square.
Though I normally do not wear lapel pins, as an exception I am wearing one today to celebrate the Olympic spirit. This pin is from the Atlanta Olympic of 1996. I visited Atlanta just before the Olympic and this was a souvenir.
