What I am wearing today (30 July 2012)

Today I am wearing a light ash-brown glen plaid double-breasted (2X6) suit; a light purple tabbed-collar shirt with French cuffs; a deep-purple silk tie; a purple printed silk pocket square; a pair of dark brown oxford whole-cut shoes; and a 1960s vintage Camy Sputnik manual winding watch in a brown leather strap.

Please note that the watch dial reads “Popular,” which is wrong. When I gave the dial to be repainted, the painter made an error and wrongly painted the dial as “Popular” instead of the correct “Sputnik.” “Popular” is another line of Camy watches and if you search this blog, you will find some “Popular” Camy models as well.

What I am wearing today (19 July 2012)

Today is Thursday and I am wearing a blazer/trousers combination. Today’s blazer is a black/brown check, 3-button, notch-lapel, and it has been matched with black trousers. The shirt I selected today is maroon in color, and has tabbed collar and French cuffs. The tie is stripes of blue/light purple/deep purple/golden yellow, and it has been coordinated with a maroon silk pocket square.

I am wearing today a pair of suede double-monk-strap (double-monk) shoes. Today’s watch is a 1963 vintage Bulova manual winding with date. It not only has a repainted black dial but also the texts on the dial are wrong.  The dial contains the word, “Sowar”, which is a brand name of West End Watches, and therefore, is wrong. Nevertheless, it’s a beautiful watch. I am wearing the watch with a Nato G10 Nylon strap in black.

What I am wearing today (18 July 2012)

Today I am wearing a blue cotton, 2-button, notch-lapel suit; a blue gingham shirt with tabbed-collar and French cuffs; a tie in dark/light blue stripes; a Macclesfield printed pocket square; a pair of plain brown cap-toed oxford shoes; and a 1946 vintage West End Watch Company, Sowar, Prima, 17 Jewels, watch with a red Nato Zulu Nylon Strap. The watch has a repainted dial.

I think it’s important to mention that today’s suit is half-lined and with almost no shoulder padding. All cotton suits worn this week are half-lined.
