What I am wearing today (9 March 2014)

Today I am wearing a tropical-wool beige double breasted suit, a white/blue check shirt with French cuffs and cutaway collar, a silk tie in two shades of blue stripes, a navy blue silk pocket square, a pair of brown wholecut shoes, and a vintage gold-plated Bulova manual winding watch.

  1. Dear Mr.Shahzaman Regards. I am a follower of your blog and enrich me about dressing everyday. It is  very useful a Government officer and have some fascination about style. So I enjoy your posts very much. Now, can I have an advice on watches. Is there any standard rule to match leather belt of the watch with the  belt and shoe? Thank you and Regards again specially for your role in our liberation war. We owe to you always.

    1. Dear Mr. Syed Badal: Thank you very much for your comment and compliments. About matching belts, shoes, and watch strap, it’s a consensus that one should match the belts with shoes. Though on watch strap there are no such requirements, my personal preference to match the watch strap with the belt and shoes. When I am wearing a watch with a metal bracelet, I prefer to match it with the belt buckle (gold-plated or chrome-plated). However, this is not a requirement from a style/fashion point of view. Thank you again, Shahzaman
