What I am wearing today (22 July 2014)

Today I am wearing a woolen gun-club check full-canvas handmade 2-button notch-lapel suit with a ticket pocket. The suit has 100% pure silk lining, matching Corozo buttons and all buttonholes are hand-sewn. I am also wearing a contrast collar graph check shirt with a collar pin, a silk tie in blue/white/green stripes, a red silk pocket square, a pair of brown double-monk shoes, and a vintage West End Watch Company Sower Prima automatic day/date watch in a black leather strap. Today’s suit has three pierces and I am not wearing the waistcoat today.

  1. hello Mr Shahzaman

    Excellent dress,
I think I can match with different pants, and use it as a sports jacket
It would also look better with black shoes
Hugs and sweet dreams … je ..je

    German.

    1. Yes, German I agree with you. This is a three piece suit and I have the option of wearing as:
      1. As a three piece suit
      2. As a two piece suit
      3. Wear both jacket and waistcoat with another trousers.
      4. Wear only the jacket with another trousers
      5. Wear only the waistcoat with another suit
Wear only the trousers with another jacket.

And all the above options are viable.

      Thanks,

      Shahzaman

  2. Great look today, and love the tie. Curious, the knot you use for your tie, is it a Full-Windsor? Also, what do you think of all the different knot variations out there today? Thanks ~ Carl

    1. Thanks for your compliments. About tie knot, I tend to use four-in-hand knots. The length of the tie often is a limiting factor is selecting a tie knot. For spread collars I tend to use Shelby and for cut-away collars the preferred knot is full Windsor. I don’t really use any other knits. Cheers, Shahzaman
