Today I am wearing a pink/white seersucker 2-button notch-lapel suit with two lower patch pockets, a white cotton shirt with French cuffs, a red silk tie, a white linen pocket square with red borders, a pair of reddish-brown double-monk shoes, and a vintage gold plated square-shaped Favre Leuba manual winding watch.
Spectacular dress, I love the color really suits you
Thank you German.
will it look ‘over the top” if there is 1.5 inch folding at the hem of a linen trouser.
usually my linen trousers are pretty lightweight. so i thought a generous folding at the end would help hold the trousers shape while i brisk walk. should i go with it?
Thanks for your comment. I follow a simple rule for trousers. No pleat means no turn-up. With one pleat, turn-up is optional. With two pleats, turn-up is mandatory. I sometimes do break the rule but in very rare circumstances.
You are correct. With light weight trousers fabric, the turn-up helps to hold the shape better particularly when walking.
Hope it helps.
