Today I am wearing a blue notch-lapel (actually fish-mouth lapel) 2-button suit with a ticket pocket, a blue/white check Winchester (white collar and French cuffs) shirt, a dark orange silk tie, a pink linen pocket square, a pair of dark brown cap-toed oxford shoes, and a vintage cushion-shaped Dunhill automatic stainless steel watch with split seconds.
Today I am wearing a mixed wool dark blue notch-lapel (fish mouth) 2-button suit with a ticket pocket, a dark blue cotton/silk blend shirt with French cuffs, a blue and yellow silk tie, a yellow pocket square with light blue borders, and a pair of dark brown cap-toed oxford shoes.
Normally, I don’t show the shirt’s fitting, which is off course, a very important consideration. The following two photographs show the shirt’s fitting.
Today I am wearing a charcoal gray 2-button, notch-lapel (actually fish-mouth lapel) linen suit, a white cotton shirt with cocktail cuffs, a gray/red floral print silk tie, a white linen pocket square, a pair of black suede double monk-strap shoes, and I am not wearing a watch today.
The buttons of the jacket are made of handmade unpolished buffalo horn. I think the buttons add the right texture to the linen suit. The matt finish of the double-monk suede shoes complements the linen suit. I was tempted to wear a silk knit tie with this outfit. The fact that I don’t have a suitable silk knit for this outfit prevented me from my temptation. A compromise was the floral print tie. I also tried to wear a striped (white and blue) linen shirt but the white shirt appeared more appropriate due to the contrast it creates with the charcoal suit.
Today I am wearing a bluish-gray 2-button fish-mouth lapel (notch-lapel) suit, a blue candy-striped cotton shirt with French cuffs, a blue silk tie, a white linen pocket square with light blue borders, and a pair of dark brown whole-cut oxford shoes.
Today my ensemble is anchored with a light blue wool/silk blend, 2-button, suit. The jacket’s lapel is what is called a “fish-mouth,” a variation of the notch lapel. I have chosen to wear a white/blue Bengal stripe shirt and a patterned tie in red/blue/yellow colors. Today’s pocket square is yellow.
Today I am wearing light brown oxford brogues, as shown below:
