Today I am wearing a blue pinstripe double-breasted suit, a white/brown contrast collar shirt with French cuff, a dark purple silk tie with red/green/white patterns, a white linen pocket square, and a pair of brown cap-toed oxford shoes.
Today is Thursday and as usual for Thursday’s I am wearing today a combination. Wearing similar outfits again and again becomes very boring and I felt an urge to wear something new, if not entirely new-maybe a new combination. Therefore, today I am wearing a full canvas silk-lined Sports Jacket with a collar tab and a ticket pocket. The trousers are silk-lined white linen Jodhpurs. To complete this equestrian look I thought I gives me a rare opportunity to wear my brown Jodhpur boots. I have hardly seen anyone wearing a tie with Jodhpurs—so I thought let’s do something new not only wear a tie but let’s make the shirt a little bit more interesting. Therefore, I am wearing a purple and white check cotton shirt with white collar and cuffs. This shirt has many more secrets which I will present in future posts. Oh! I forgot to mention the collar is perforated so that I can wear a silver collar pin. I mentioned about the footwear which is a pair of brown Jodhpur boots. I though a white linen pocket square will go nicely with the maroon/black/white silk knit tie. And of course, all the button holes are hand sewn with silk threads.
I would appreciate your comments on this look.
Today I am wearing a woolen full-canvas blue check handmade wide-lapel double breasted 100% silk lined suit with black Corozo buttons, a white cotton shirt with perforated collar and a silver collar pin, a maroon silk tie with white paisley motifs, a maroon and blue printed silk pocket square, and a pair of black cap-toed oxford shoes. No change in watch.
Suddenly I realized that the way I dress has become very predictable: suits first four days of the week and a jacket/trousers combination for Thursday. I need to break this monotony. Therefore today instead of wearing a suit I chose to wear a jacket/trousers combination. It seems that for some reason I love my new jacket with a shirt-sleeve shoulder. The lightly-padded wool check in brown and beige is handmade, full canvas, 100% silk lined, and all the button holes are hand-sewn. The lapel is also a bit wider than usual. I have paired the jacket with a brown PoW check woolen trousers with 100% silk lining. I chose to wear a light pink shirt with French cuffs with the jacket/trousers combination. I thought a red silk knit tie with small white dots will go nicely with the ensemble. A pink/white check linen pocket square and a brown Tussle Loafer completes today’s attire. I did not change the watch, i.e., it’s the same Movado I wore yesterday.
Today I am wearing a full canvas hand-made woolen hounds-tooth wide- peak- lapel one-button suit, a blue/white striped Winchester shirt, a blue silk tie with red heraldic-lion motifs, a maroon silk pocket square, and a pair of black dress boots. Today I am also wearing a vintage Movado Automatic watch in stainless steel.
Thursday is back and I am wearing today a Jacket/trousers combination. A woolen charcoal gray 2-button peaked-lapel hand-made jacket with pure silk lining, a pair of cotton/wool blend gray/black striped trousers, a blue cotton Piccadilly collar shirt with a silver collar pin, a gray silk tie with purple and white dots, a blue linen pocket square, and a pair of black cap-toed oxford shoes.
